I am a Savage owner since May and have yet to feel excited about it. It's not the Savage that upsets me, it's the Dealer Chaparral in Southern California. When I picked up the bike I noticed that the latch for the tool cover was completely absent. Well, I took the bike home anyway (idiot) and waited for them to get a latch. That took a month. I then realized that one of the captive nuts was missing and after I took off the battery plate, did I see that the battery box was banged up and the frame was damaged. I brought the bike back immediately and told them that their battery guy damaged my bike. After a week, I called for status and they said that the part was on back order. When I asked for a backorder date, they got all defensive and asked me if I knew what backorder meant? (Assholes). I replied by asking if they planned on keeping my bike all summer until this part shows up? So I took it back because I wanted to ride it. Well, it's the end of August now and still nothing.
